TechTele Communications: What We Do

Part One of Three

The communications industry is undergoing an unprecedented technology revolution that is transforming the way companies do business. Convergence is bringing together traditional stand-alone forms of contact - voice, data, and video - under a single umbrella. The potential benefits to companies who embrace these innovations can be astounding: as connectivity options improve, operational efficiencies go up, and the costs of doing business go down.

Whether it's IP Telephony, remote wireless mobility, traditional land lines and networks - or a blend - companies now have the flexibility to do much more, for much less. To guide you through the complex process of optimizing your communications system in the face of a rapidly changing marketplace, you need a company that has been there since the beginning of the convergence revolution. You need TechTele Communications. Read more.

The TechTele Team: Introducing Cameron Riggs, Vice cameron_riggsPresident of Information Technology

How long have you been with TechTele?

I've been with the company since 1995. Before that, I spent almost 11 years at Northern Telecom. I started as an entry-level cable installer and worked my way up to the position of senior technical support engineer. I then left the company to pursue other opportunities in the industry.

What's a typical day like for you at TechTele?

As one of the principals, I focus primarily on technical issues within the company. I'm typically the ‘go-to guy' on a daily basis for our customers and technicians in order to resolve product-specific problems and provide solutions in a timely manner. I'm also active in selling, designing, and deploying technologies such as contact centers, interactive voice response solutions, and unified communications.

What do you like best about your job?

The job is never mundane. In fact, it gets pretty exiting at times! When a hospital calls in the middle of the night and says that more than half of their system is down due to a lightning strike, you'd better be prepared to pull out all of the stops. The way you respond could be a matter of life and death--literally. If that doesn't get the adrenaline flowing, nothing will!

There are five major championships, more than 600 professional male and female players, and over $20 million of prize money awarded during the 127 matches of the event. All games are held at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens, N.Y. For this world-class event, excellence in telecommunications is imperative. As the telecommunications provider for the U.S.T.A. corporate headquarters in White Plains, N.Y. since 1996, TechTele has delivered that excellence. Read more.
