John Kasprzyk, Vice President of Operations
John has been with TechTele Communications since it's inception in 1995 and is one of the company's original partners. John's duties at TechTele Communications involve overseeing the total day-to-day operations, including working closely with the operations manager, overseeing dispatch, warehouse functions, project management, and fleet administration. John also evaluates and assesses technical talent for field support, and provides support in the design and engineering of system quotes.
"I enjoy the everyday challenges of providing quality customer service to the TechTele customer base," John says. "Being able to work directly with the customer to resolve issues is the most rewarding part of the job. Engaging with TechTele employees to troubleshoot different operational and technical problems provides great satisfaction. Empowering the talents of the organization's staff has proven to be a key component in the overall success of TechTele Communications."
Over the past thirty years that John has been in the telecommunications business, he’s seen many changes in the industry. “Changes in technology have been extraordinary during this time,” he explains. “Back when I started in the industry, rotary telephones and mechanical switches were pretty much the norm in providing voice communications. Today voice communications has evolved into Unified Communications and IP technologies that provide a whole host of different services.”
John says he considers himself fortunate in his career to have been able to work with and deploy the various different voice communication solutions that have evolved over the years. In particular, he cites working with the Nortel and Avaya product portfolio as having provided the greatest exposure to the advancement of voice communication technologies. “These two companies have always been the best of breed in providing enterprise communication solutions,” he says.
John is most proud of his accomplishment of starting out in the industry as a cable installer to becoming VP of operations of a telecommunications company. When he’s not at work, John enjoys traveling with his wife, Lisa, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles, and golfing.
If he could have lunch with any famous figure, it would be Lee Iacocca. “I would be very interested in discussing his business philosophies,” John explains. "To me, Lee Iacocca displays all the necessary qualities of honesty and integrity required of a true business leader.”
